Kylian Mbappe confirms transfer decision after Mikel Arteta Arsenal admission and Chelsea trial

After seven years with Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappe has announced that he will be leaving the team at the end of the current campaign. It follows several seasons of rumors about the Frenchman’s potential transfer, which included links to both Chelsea and Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta teased the media earlier this year when he stated that his side would need to be “in the conversation” in order to sign Mbappe. Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino have managed him in the French capital, where he underwent trial periods at Chelsea.

The 25-year-old announced his intention to leave the Parc des Princes in a video that was uploaded to the internet on Friday night. He wrote “MERCI. [red and blue circle emojis]”.

Mbappe sat down to publicly discuss his decision to depart, introducing himself as “Hello, everyone, this is Kylian. I had something to say to you. I wanted to let you all know that this is my final year at Paris Saint-Germain, as I always promised to talk to you when the time came.

“I won’t prolong, and in a few weeks the adventure will come to an end. On Saturday, I’ll play my final match at Parc des Princes. Many emotions are involved.”

After making it apparent to PSG that he would not be staying at the team until 2025, as had been planned with his contract extension, Mbappe has become the subject of intense interest in recent years. Prior to the start of the new season, he was kept apart from Luis Enrique last summer and was not included in the planning.

Although it is now generally anticipated that he will sign a free agent contract with Real Madrid, there have been numerous international suitors. Regarding the prospect of acquiring him in January, Arteta continued to be optimistic about Arsenal’s prospects. “Why not?” he questioned. It is certain that we will require the best players and talent if we are to be the best team.

Chelsea, one of the wealthiest teams in the world, has long been associated with him. Pictures of the World Cup winner wearing their jersey date back to the early 2010s. He even participated in a game for one of their academy teams and was pictured with Didier Drogba.

Speaking to FourFourTwo about his brief stay at Cobham, he said, “I played up front, but I don’t think I scored.” “It was fantastic; it was my first time traveling overseas and I got to see how the game was played in England.”

“For many years, I had the opportunity and great honor to be a member of the biggest French club and one of the biggest in the world, which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure, to grow as a player of course by being along some of the greatest champions in history, to meet a lot of people, and to grow as a man as well,” Mbappe continued in explaining his decision to leave PSG.

“With all the success and errors I’ve committed. I want to start by expressing my gratitude to all of my teammates. Every coach: Luis Enrique, Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel, Unai Emery, and Christophe Galtier. Leonardo and Luis Campos, the sports directors, for always being by my side. All of the club employees—those no one ever sees, the people in the background.”Everyone is affected, including the physiotherapists, intendants, performance team, office staff, and those on campus. These amazing people deserve this recognition because they give the club their all.

“Despite everything that can happen on the outside, all this media hype that surrounds the club sometimes, there are some real club lovers who want to protect and make it shine and it’s great and I know that with all these people this club is in great hands.

“It’s hard, it’s hard, and I never thought it would be this difficult to announce that, to leave my country, the Ligue 1, a championship I have always known. But I think I needed this a new challenge after seven years. It’s difficult and of course there are some people that I want to thank above all.

“These are the fans. I know I’m not the most demonstrative player. I haven’t always lived up to the love you all gave me for seven years but I never wanted to cheat. I have always wanted to be effective.

“PSG is a club that never leaves anyone indifferent. We can love it or hate it. I made the choice of loving it and I did for seven years. With ups and downs, of course, but I do not regret any moment signing with this prestigious club.

“It’s a club that I will keep in my memory my entire lie. I will tell everybody my whole life that I had the chance to play here. And I won’t be a player anymore but I will continue to watch every game because it’s a club that I will always be interested in and I will always closely follow up its news.

“It was me with my qualities and defects but I tried to give my best version of myself during those seven years. But beforehand I want to say thank you because without you all I would never have experienced half of the emotions I felt. And just for that I am grateful for life.
