After signing David Raya from Brentford in the summer, Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has become the club’s second choice.
Petr Cech, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, is reportedly “interested” in leaving the team during the January transfer window, according to Dan Kilpatrick.
The journalist claimed to have spoken with Ramsdale about his future at Arsenal when he first got in touch with him in October.
Kilpatrick said during the Transfer Show on the Sky Sports website:
“I had a conversation with Aaron Ramsdale in October while he was serving for England.”
“And he said then, and he had only recently lost his spot to David Raya, that he was worried about his England spot and would have to think about his options if he couldn’t get back into the Arsenal team.”
“His chances of playing in the second half of the season look bleak, as he was only participating in domestic cup competitions, and Arsenal are now out of both.”
After spending £30 million to join Arsenal in 2021, England international goalkeeper Ramsdale swiftly replaced Bernd Leno as the team’s first choice in goal.
The goalkeeper wants to get more playing time to improve his chances of making the England national team for Euro 2024. He has only played five teams in the Premier League this season.
