These Three key Arsenal Players will be back for the Liverpool match!

With the hopes of having injured players Takehiro Tomiyasu, Thomas Partey, and Mohamed Elneny available for the FA Cup third-round match against Liverpool on January 7, Arsenal is optimistic about their prospects of returning. The three, who are presently sidelined, are improving in their recuperation and hope to play in the next game before leaving for their international assignments.

Tomiyasu will play for Japan in the Asian Cup, while Elneny and Partey will represent Egypt and Ghana, respectively, at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Tomiyasu suffered a calf injury in early December, Elneny suffered a hamstring injury against PSV Eindhoven last week, and Partey has been out since October due to a thigh injury. While the main objective is to return for the Liverpool match, there is a chance they could do so sooner, particularly with Partey getting closer to full fitness. Partey is keen to get back with the team, even though he did not participate in full training on Wednesday. Arsenal’s schedule is tough; they play Liverpool at the top of the table and then West Ham and Fulham before the year is out.

Partey is certain of his preparation for the competition, which begins on January 13, even though he is part of Ghana’s preliminary 55-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations. The final squad of 23 players will be decided by January 3. On January 14, Japan, under the captaincy of Tomiyasu, will play Vietnam in Qatar to begin their Asian Cup campaign.
