Arsenal Women star striker Vivianne Miedema has recovered from her ACL injury and return to training.

Vivianne Miedema, the star striker for Arsenal, has made a great advancement in her comeback as she resumes training following a severe anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. The Dutch football prodigy missed the Women’s World Cup and had been out of commission since December.

Miedema is working her way back to the field at the club’s London Colney training facility as the Women’s Super League (WSL) season approaches.

Miedema has been on a nine-month recovery path, and in May, she started running once more while using an anti-gravity gadget. She joined Beth Mead in returning to team practice at London Colney, which is a step in the right direction for her quest to rejoin the matchday squad.

With 92 goals in 115 games for Arsenal, Miedema, one of the best players in the world, has an incredible resume. The Gunners suffered a great loss when she was out injured last season since she had already scored four goals in five starts.

The season opener for Arsenal in the Women’s Super League is scheduled for October 1 against Liverpool. In order to have a great start to the season, the team’s attacking prowess receives a much-needed boost from Miedema’s comeback.

In other news, Arsenal Women were defeated by Paris FC in their UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) qualifying match on Saturday. They will therefore not take part in the group stage of the Champions League this season. The Gunners will instead participate in the group stages of the Conti Cup during the winter season.

Early in August, before Arsenal’s destiny in Europe was decided, the Conti Cup group stage draws were made. The Football Association (FA) has now officially announced that Arsenal, the competition champion from last season, has been assigned to Group D.

Reading, Spurs, Bristol City, and Southampton are included in this group. The competition will begin on November 8 or 9, with details to be disclosed in due time. The schedule for these group-stage matches has not yet been determined.

The group stage is expected to culminate at the end of January, followed by the final, which will take place in late March at an undetermined location. The upcoming season for Arsenal should be intriguing as the team participates in both home and international tournaments.
