Chelsea reject Mancity offer on Kovacic and more transfer rumors

According to rumors, Manchester City is confident that they can sign Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic by the end of June.

Pep Guardiola appears to be preparing backup plans in case Bernardo Silva or Ilkay Gundogan decide to leave the Etihad this summer.

Gundogan, the club captain, was included on the list of players released this week, though it does not always mean a final decision has been made.

In actuality, no party has made a commitment to staying or leaving regarding what will happen next. Guardiola appears to be looking to bolster his midfield still.

According to The Evening Standard, City wants to pay about £35 million to bring Kovacic in within the next two weeks. The Croatian allegedly agreed to the terms of the deal.

As Chelsea tries to balance the books within Financial Fair Play laws, a handful of players are anticipated to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. Kovacic is one of those players.

Kyle Walker is reportedly among Bayern Munich’s top summer targets, according to The Telegraph, which is the newest source to make the claim.

This summer, Bayern will likely lose Benjamin Pavard and search for a successor.

Walker has only one year left on his contract, but Thomas Tuchel seems to be keeping an eye on him.

Since there are few indications that he would receive a contract renewal, AC Milan is also reportedly keeping tabs on his status.
