Liverpool’s supporters were undoubtedly holding their breath and praying that they wouldn’t sustain any more injuries before their team’s big match against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. Liverpool played in the Premier League last night.
Having been in the same situation before almost every game for the past two seasons, Blues fans will be familiar with this feeling! Due to unheard-of injuries, Chelsea is currently without a number of important players, including Wesley Fofana, a high-profile signing, and club captain Reece James, who are both on the long-term injury list. However, there are a ton more, and for once, it’s nice to see a different team experiencing the same problems as Chelsea!
Last night, Liverpool trailed 1-0 to Luton Town at the half, but they rallied to defeat them 4-1. Thus, despite their injuries, they still have a deadly appearance and the ability to completely destroy a team.
According to Liverpool.com, Klopp was questioned about the injuries following the match and in advance of Sunday’s League Cup final against Chelsea.
“The situation is not great, absolutely not,” he stated. We just live day by day and don’t know. We’ll go for it as long as we have eleven.
