Unexpected addition when Arsenal releases their 2024–2025 Champions League roster
Surprisingly, Mikel Arteta included an Arsenal player in this year’s Champions League squad who the team had forgotten about.
With major changes expected to the competition, Arsenal is getting ready to play in the UEFA Champions League again this season. The tournament will resume in its new format following the September international break, with teams taking on a demanding league phase.
Under this new structure, Mikel Arteta’s team has to finish in the top eight to guarantee Arsenal a spot in the round of 16. The Arsenal’s schedule has been released, and it is chock-full of tough opponents like Girona, PSG, Inter Milan, and Sporting CP.
These games are only a portion of the demanding schedule that Arsenal has ahead of them. The toughest away match is against Atalanta, the Europa League winners from the previous season.

Kieran Tierney and the new additions Neto, Raheem Sterling, Riccardo Calafiori, and Mikel Merino are other noteworthy additions. Meanwhile, the B-List, which has not yet been made public, will include up-and-coming talent like Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.
