ARSENAL SET TO MAKE LATE MOVE FOR WINGER COMPARED TO EDEN HAZARD AND MOHAMED SALAH

Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign a brilliant winger who has been compared to Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard before the transfer deadline

Andreas Skov Olsen, a winger for Club Brugge, is reportedly attracting Arsenal’s attention as they contemplate a late-summer transfer for the Denmark international.

Arsenal is interested in signing the 24-year-old, who is reportedly valued between €25 and €30 million, to serve as Bukayo Saka’s backup, according to CaughtOffside.

Skov Olsen had a fantastic season, finishing first in all competitions with 26 goals and eight assists. Additionally, he participated in four Danish Euro 2024 matches. Journalist Klaus Egelund from Denmark once likened Skov Olsen to Eden Hazard, pointing out that the left-footed playmaker on the right wing has similarities to players like Mohamed Salah and Arjen Robben.

Arsenal hasn’t acquired a new offensive player this summer, despite being linked to a number of forwards. After Benjamin Sesko, a striker from Slovenia, inked a new deal with RB Leipzig, their pursuit of him ended. Victor Osimhen, Nico Williams, and Viktor Gyokeres are a few more targets who don’t seem likely to sign with the team this summer.

Despite Ivan Toney’s recent exclusion from Brentford’s squads against Crystal Palace and Liverpool, Arsenal’s interest in the player has waned. Furthermore, relationships with Jonathan David have deteriorated.

In terms of summer transfer activity at Arsenal, the only established players who have joined the team are David Raya and Riccardo Calafiori. For €45 million, Calafiori moved from Bologna, and Raya’s loan from Brentford was extended permanently for €31.9 million.

In Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa, Calafiori made his Arsenal debut. He came on as Jurrien Timber’s replacement in the 79th minute and helped the Gunners keep a clean sheet for the second straight game.

Regarding departures, Arsenal sold Emile Smith Rowe to Fulham, and Arthur Okonkwo, Mohamed Elneny, and Cedric Soares all left the team when their contracts expired.

Charlie Patino is heading to Deportivo La Coruna, while Fabio Vieira is returning to FC Porto on loan. Eddie Nketiah, a striker, and Reiss Nelson, a winger, are anticipated to depart the team prior to Friday’s transfer deadline.
