JAMIE CARRAGHER EXPLAINS WHY ARSENAL WON’T WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Arsenal is gearing up to take on Manchester City and win the Premier League title next season, but football pundit Jamie Carragher has voiced doubts about the Gunners’ chances. Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has explained why he believes Arsenal will not win the Premier League title next season.

Supporters are excited to see their team win the championship after two seasons in which they came dangerously close to overthrowing Pep Guardiola’s squad. Nonetheless, Carragher thinks Manchester City will win the 2024–25 season once more.

Carragher gave an explanation of why he believes Arsenal will have difficulty surpassing City in a recent interview with FourFourTwo. The 46-year-old former Liverpool defender made the observation that even though the North Londoners are a formidable team, they still lack the individual talent required to challenge Guardiola’s team for the championship.

“Really, I can only see Arsenal or City,” Carragher remarked. “I think Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Bernardo Silva are still better than what Arsenal has to offer, but people are talking about Arsenal because they’ve been close twice and are about to take that next step.”

Carragher went on to say that Mikel Arteta’s team might be lacking an offensive player to the point where they can’t match City. “They have Bukayo Saka, but when you consider Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, or Leandro Trossard as alternatives, it seems like they need one more player who is really exceptional to replace Manchester City.”

Manchester City scored 96 goals in the Premier League last season, compared to 91 goals for the Gunners. Carragher’s remarks imply that Arsenal still needs to bolster their team if they want to win the title, even with the Gunners’ impressive attack.

Edu, the sporting director, and Arteta appear to agree with Carragher’s evaluation. Before the transfer window closes, reportedly, the club is actively trying to bring one of Europe’s best strikers to north London.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Arsenal is thinking about making a move for Victor Osimhen, the star striker for Napoli. The Nigerian international, who scored 26 goals in 32 league games, was crucial to Napoli’s 2022–2023 Serie A championship victory. He scored 17 goals in 32 games the previous season as payback.

According to Corriere dello Sport, an Italian news source, Osimhen is eager to sign with Arsenal this summer. Osimhen’s arrival could mean the difference between Arsenal finishing in second place and eventually winning the Premier League, should the transfer go through.
