New details about Arsenal’s summer transfer window pursuit of Athletic Bilbao winger and Spain national team member Neco Williams have emerged from Spanish press reports.
Spanish journalist Santi Oval claims that important Arsenal figures are nearly certain to sign Neco Williams and are extremely confident about doing so. Williams’s associates, however, are less certain and say that although they are amenable to Arsenal’s interest, no deal has been sealed as of yet.
According to Oval, the team thinks they can use Williams’ release clause at the appropriate time without having to let go of other players.
Given Neco Williams’ stated desire to play for the Gunners, the Spanish press speculates that Arsenal is getting close to signing him.
Furthermore, reliable reporter Fabrizio Romano has provided the most recent information regarding Arsenal’s negotiations with Neco Williams. Romano had earlier stated on Twitter that Arsenal does not want to prolong the Neco Williams transfer drama. He said the player has a certain amount of time to complete the deal if he so chooses.
