FEE AGREED ✅: Arsenal set to beat Liverpool and Chelsea to the signing of £50m superstar, Arsenal has already agreed to pay His release clause – player set to bid farewell to His teammates for Him to join Arsenal

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi has a release clause that Arsenal is willing to pay, but Sport reports that he would rather sign with Barcelona or Real Madrid.

The Spain international has long been admired by the Gunners, who are hoping to sign him once more. But a deal doesn’t seem likely.

Sport (page 6) reports that Mikel Arteta’s team is willing to fulfill Zubimendi’s £51 million release clause, but they also understand that the midfield player has other ideas. The 25-year-old has shown hesitation to leave Sociedad and says he will only move to Madrid or Barcelona in the future.

Arsenal Must Let Go of Zubimendi

Arteta is a big fan of Zubimendi’s abilities, and Arsenal has been interested in him for a while. They haven’t been able to influence his position, though. Zubimendi made it plain last summer that he intended to remain at Sociedad following the team’s Champions League qualification. Even though Sociedad only placed sixth in La Liga the previous year, Zubimendi is still not thinking about leaving. Imanol, the manager of Sociedad, has stated unequivocally that Zubimendi wants to stay and has no doubts about his dedication.

We believe that Arsenal must move on from their futile attempt to sign Zubimendi. More competent defensive midfielders than Zubimendi are available on the market, and they have superior distribution skills. Amadou Onana, a star player for Everton, is a good option for Arsenal if they’re searching for someone with Premier League experience.
