“My goal is to compete in the Champions League.” Amidst summer transfer rumors, a £50 million Premier League player makes a clear statement to Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal board.

Aaron Ramsdale, a star for Arsenal, stated that he “never” wants to play as little as he did in the 2023–24 season again.

The 26-year-old, who was selected for England’s Euro 2024 team, has been connected to a move this summer after slipping to the Emirates’ back of the line behind David Raya.

The England stopper has been linked to Chelsea, Aston Villa, and West Ham, to name just three teams. He has made it very clear that he wants to leave the Gunners during this transfer window.

“No footballer wants to not play,” Ramsdale said to talkSPORT when discussing his future at the Emirate. I had a difficult year personally and would never want to give up playing.

In addition, he expressed that losing out to David Raya for the spot had been “tough,” but he remains optimistic about representing his nation in Germany.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again if I play a minute or no minutes [and England win the Euros], it will be the pinnacle for me, the best day ever,” Ramsdale continued. “I’ve got the greatest honour, the greatest badge on my chest.”

“At the moment, I think I’m among the happiest 26–27 men in England, and hopefully we can make as many millions of people back home as happy as we do.

“Ramsdale is far too good to be a bench warmer every week, and he must have hated it last season. Some major league teams are interested in a possible trade, and whoever signs him will be getting a very good goalie.

We fully expect him to leave the Emirates over the next few months as ARSENAL is selling a number of players this summer.
