Arsenal have already been given green light to complete £42m Nico Williams transfer

Arsenal has already been informed of the benefits of signing Nico Williams, a star player for Athletic Bilbao.

Williams was reportedly a target for the Gunners even before the summer transfer window opened. The 21-year-old, who is presently playing for Spain, is anticipated to have a big impact at Euro 2024, which takes place in Germany over the coming few weeks.

Although Williams is a versatile player, he typically lines up on the left side of the forward line. Arsenal is reportedly fond of the winger, but it’s unclear if the team will try to get him to the Emirates Stadium this summer. This is according to football.london.

Williams’ contract at Bilbao is believed to contain a release clause worth €50 million (£42.1 million). The forward recently stated that he is not interested in talking about his future until after Euro 2024 is over in an interview with the Spanish news outlet COPE.

Emmanuel Petit explained to Arsenal earlier this year why they ought to try to sign Williams. Williams, a former center back for the Gunners, seems like a great addition to Mikel Arteta’s team this summer if they want to contend for the Premier League title the following year.

“Is Nico Williams a suitable fit for Arsenal? He has undoubtedly been among the top young players in Spain this year, as Petit stated to Betway back in March.

“So far this season, he has ten assists and five goals. He is strong, quick, and always sprints toward the goal while dribbling and using amazing skills to avoid defenders.

He can play on either the right or left, and because he is so adept at handling two defenders, Athletic always seems to give him the ball when I watch.

“His skills are devastating, making him a valuable asset to any team. Players that constantly provoke defenders are my favorite.”
