JUST IN✅✅: Fabrizio Romano Reveals Why Arteta and Edu Dumped Osimhen, Toney and Vlahovic In Favour Of £150M Striker Barely Known

In the summer transfer window, Arsenal is still searching for a top-tier No. 9 to complement Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal has several options, and the most notable one—Victor Osimhen—remains a real possibility, despite rival Chelsea’s resistance to the asking price Napoli has set.

Benjamin Sesko, RB Leipzig’s young star, is currently the favorite to join Arsenal as a new starting striker this summer. Sesko is also being considered by Chelsea as their top striker this summer.

In the past, Arsenal’s main rivals to join were experienced Premier League forwards Alexander Isak of Newcastle and Ivan Toney of Brentford.

Isak and Toney, however, are reportedly no longer on Arsenal’s radar as they would rather acquire a young No. 9 who they can groom into an even greater star, according to Sky Sports.

Once more, Sesko is the most appropriate choice in this situation. He recently finished a fantastic season with Leipzig in the Bundesliga, even though he shared playing time with top Ligue 1 recruit Lois Openda, one of the most productive strikers in Europe overall.

Despite only starting 17 games, Sesko scored 14 goals, displaying a brutal clinical edge in front of goal that is uncommon for a striker in his age of 21.

Toney or Isak might be a good fit for Arsenal, but Newcastle doesn’t appear to be planning to let go of the Swedish player, and Arsenal might prefer a player with more upside than Toney.

Although Sesko appears to be the front-runner right now, Chelsea’s interest means the Gunners will now need to work even harder to convince Leipzig to trade for Sesko.

However, compared to Napoli star Victor Osimhen, Sesko should be significantly less expensive and less prone to injury, with a release clause of roughly 60 million euros.
