DONE DEAL✅✅: Arsenal Move Ahead Of Barcelona and Bayern To Sign £55M Thomas Partey Replacement, Mikel Arteta and Edu are Geniuses.

It is anticipated that Mikel Arteta will sign a replacement for Thomas Partey during the summer transfer window. The Ghanaian international’s appearance against Manchester City on Sunday was only his eighth of the season due to a season beset by injuries.

Arteta has had to carefully reintegrate Partey into the game due to his numerous setbacks over the past few months.

Kai Havertz has been used more forward in games where the Gunners want to exert control thanks to Jorginho’s performance. Gabriel Jesus has been sidelined due to personal injury concerns.

But for the crucial title matchup against his old team, the Brazil international was back in the starting lineup for the first time in two months. The Gunners were top of the Premier League standings going into the weekend, but Liverpool’s victory over Brighton and Man City’s draw have forced Liverpool back to the top.

With nine games left in the 2023–24 season, the title rivals are only three points apart, and the upcoming slate of games is rapidly approaching. Arsenal plays Luton on Wednesday, Man City plays Aston Villa that evening, and Liverpool plays Sheffield United on Thursday to wrap up the midweek action.

Although all eyes will be on the field for the next two months, Arsenal will have started to consider and possibly even finalize their summer transfer plans. Partey’s departure means that Arteta and Edu could welcome another midfield player, and Martin Zubimendi is already a top target.

North London has shown interest in the Real Sociedad midfield player during the previous two trading periods. There is rumored to be a £52.5 million release clause in his contract, but two formidable European teams are vying with Arsenal for his services.

Both Barcelona and Bayern Munich have suggested Zubimendi as a way to strengthen their respective midfields; however, a transfer across Spain is uncertain due to the latter’s financial troubles. With that, Arsenal and Bayern might just engage in a shootout, but the German champions might still withdraw from the competition.

If Bayern had hired Xabi Alonso as their new manager, Zubimendi was expected to be their top midfield target, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. With Bayer Leverkusen presently leading the Bundesliga by a wide margin, the Spaniard did, however, recently declare that he would be sticking around for at least another season.

Bayern should prioritize finding a new manager, and Barcelona appears to be out of the running, so Arsenal may have a clear path to Zubimendi. The 25-year-old seems to be fully committed to Sociedad, but with the Spanish team presently sitting sixth in La Liga, playing in the Champions League next season may not have much of an impact on his choice.
