Surprise Kylian Mbappe to Arsenal transfer confirmation emerges amid £60m wage issue

Since Kylian Mbappe made his exit from Paris Saint-Germain known, every club in Europe is hoping to sign him this summer.

The striker informed the Parisians that he would not be staying with the Ligue 1 winners past his contract’s expiration, making him a free agent. His future has been the subject of increasing speculation for some time, but no formal agreement has been made.

Real Madrid is the clear favorite to sign the France international because they can pay his outrageous salary demands. During his final two years at PSG, Mbappe reportedly made over £5 million a month, or over £60 million annually.

A transfer to the Premier League, where Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United were only loosely linked, has been automatically ruled out due to his wage demands.

The 25-year-old, though, is reportedly set to pass up a move to the Spanish powerhouses in favor of joining Arsenal in one of the biggest transfers in Gunners history, according to YouTube sensation iShowSpeed.

As he watched Fabrizio Romano inform his 24.4 million subscribers that Mbappe is expected to sign with Real Madrid, the YouTuber asserted that Mbappe would be moving to north London and suggested the reports were inaccurate.

“He’s not going to Real Madrid, he’s not going. I promise you,” he stated. “Don’t ask me how I know but he’s not going. Trust me. I’ve got the real insight. Trust me.”

He went on: “I’m going to tell you all where he is going. Don’t ask me how I know, but watch how he doesn’t go [to] Real Madrid. And he’s going [to] Arsenal. You only heard it from me, you only heard it from me.”
