Ian Wright predicts who’ll win between Manchester United and Arsenal

The Premier League match between Manchester United and Arsenal is scheduled to take place at Old Trafford on Sunday.

To maintain their chances of winning the championship until the very last day of the season, the Gunners will try to win their penultimate game.

With three games remaining, the Red Devils will be motivated to finish the league season strong and possibly secure a late spot in Europe.

Manchester United will be particularly motivated to recover from Monday night’s 4-0 demolition at the hands of Crystal Palace.

In the most recent episode of the Wrighty’s House podcast, Arsenal legend Ian Wright discussed the Red Devils’ defeat at Selhurst Park and gave his predictions for Sunday’s game.

What did Ian Wright say about Manchester United v Arsenal on Sunday?

The legendary player from Highbury expressed his belief that the Gunners will prevail “because they have to” in order to maintain their title hopes.

Wright did, however, also give Manchester United some thought, characterizing them as a team that is falling apart.

“I’d like to think the way we play, where we are defensively, through the midfield, and up front,” Wright stated.

Yes, we have to win the game, and that is what I would like to believe.

However, it’s also unpleasant to watch Man United’s decline. It’s falling very quickly. For me, it’s not enjoyable.

“Obviously, I want my team to succeed, but it’s not enjoyable to watch them because of how embarrassing it was.”

Manchester United being pitied by Arsenal legend will be a bitter pill to swallow

Because of their dominance in the Premier League, rival fans detested Manchester United for a long time.

Being despised—or, let’s be honest, envied—by opponents is what fans of that team want because it indicates that you are winning and they are losing.

The last thing you want to be is pitied. It’s normal for rival supporters to take pleasure in your losses for a while.

However, you’ve pretty much reached your lowest point as a team, comparatively speaking, when those opponents actively begin to feel bad for you.

Man United supporters will be hoping that the club’s management can begin the rebuilding process as soon as possible and make the team a source of envy and hate rather than sympathy.

Fortunately, over the next two weeks, the Red Devils can gain an early advantage in just two games.

Man United supporters will be extremely happy if they defeat Arsenal because it will probably mean that their chances of winning the title this season are gone.

Of course, there is also the FA Cup final versus Manchester City, which is one of the biggest derbies in recent memory between the two teams.
