Arsenal WILL sell star despite Arteta bluff with lucrative offer coming; £80m ace tops shortlist of replacements

Arsenal WILL sell star despite Arteta bluff with lucrative offer coming; £80m ace tops shortlist of replacements

A third source has shown evidence that Gabriel Jesus won’t be sold, despite Mikel Arteta’s public declarations to the contrary, and a report has identified the player at the top of the Gunners’ shortlist of suitable replacements.

When Jesus, 27, was taken from Manchester City in 2022, it cost £45 million. The Brazilian was popular right away at the Emirates, but he is now disposable due to a recurring knee injury, a decline in output, and the acquisition of Kai Havertz.

This season, Jesus has diminished to a bit part role, and Arteta has turned to Havertz to fill the center-forward role in 2024.

It will be less than 50 days until Euro 2024. Reserve a room using Marriott Bonvoy.

According to recent reports from The Athletic, Arsenal is prepared to cash in on Jesus this summer should the right offers come in.

As the Athletic put it: “Arsenal would be ready to listen if an offer were to arrive for the 27-year-old Brazil international in the upcoming transfer window.”

Give Me Sport continued with similar assertions. They said that while Arsenal would consider a big offer if it were put forth, they are not actively trying to force Jesus out.

Due to the rumors, Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Gunners, declared in the open that his team has no plans to sell Jesus.

Last week, Arteta told reporters, “I don’t know where reports about Gabriel Jesus exit are coming from.” “We do not intend to allow Gabriel to leave.”

But now Football Insider, a third source, has joined the chorus of people saying Jesus can go.

Jesus is free to depart as Saudi Arabia prepares

Arsenal “are ready to listen to offers” for the Brazilian, according to FI, and his departure will help make space and money available for an actual “difference maker” up front.

Arsenal is still searching for a dynamic new forward to replace Havertz or to complement him. Should the latter be the case, Havertz may return to his midfield position from the season’s first half.

When asked where Give Me Sport thought bids for Jesus might originate, they pointed to Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, SPL teams are seriously considering table offers for Jesus and Thomas Partey, Jesus’s teammate at Arsenal. Any such offers for Jesus, according to GMS, would be “lucrative.”

The top striker target for Arsenal is named

Numerous strikers, such as Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting CP), Joshua Zirkzee (Bologna), and Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig), have been linked to Arsenal.

But according to the Independent, Arsenal’s top target right now is Alexander Isak, the star player at Newcastle.

They claimed that although a deal will be difficult to complete, Arsenal has the free-scoring 24-year-old in its sights.

According to a number of reports, Newcastle’s striker is reportedly worth about £80 million. But persuading the Magpies to sell is a whole other story.

Isak does not have a release clause in his contract with St. James’ Park. Furthermore, Newcastle has an extremely strong negotiating position because the Swede’s contract runs until 2028.

In just 27 Premier League games this season, Isak has 20 goals to his name. The only player to achieve a higher goals-per-90m ratio than Isak (0.89) is Erling Haaland (0.98).

He would be a fantastic addition to the Gunners and strengthen their championship chances going into the upcoming campaign. The Independent, however, came to the conclusion that a deal might only work if Isak “agitates” for a transfer.

There’s no indication that Isak is dissatisfied on Tyneside as of yet.
