Top Arsenal target Ivan Toney told WHY he should snub Arteta and join ‘obvious choice’ Tottenham instead

Ivan Toney, a top target for Arsenal, has been informed of the reasons he ought to reject the Gunners this summer and join fierce rivals Tottenham in north London.

The frontman for Brentford, whose contract is about to expire, is expected to leave the team during the summer transfer window. A number of Premier League teams have been linked to the England player.

Given that his contract is set to expire in 2025, the 28-year-old is expected to cost approximately £40 million, which is half of the amount the Bees were requesting when he returned from his lengthy FA ban back in January.

With 39 goals in 95 top-flight games thus far, Toney has solidified his position as a Premier League No. 9 after winning promotion with Thomas Frank’s team back in 2021.
He is a strong contender for a spot in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2024, having scored once in his two appearances for his nation.

However, since the winter transfer window closed, there has been much debate about where he will play in the summer, with teams like Manchester United, Arsenal, and Spurs all likely to be involved.

In the absence of the frequently injured Gabriel Jesus for a large portion of the season, the Gunners are expected to be shopping for a new central striker this summer. Kai Havertz filled that role.

Instead, Toney should move to the white half of north London and live with Ange Postecoglou, according to talkSPORT pundit Jeff Stelling.

Toney is the ideal Kane substitute.
Stelling sees the Brentford man as the ideal Harry Kane replacement at Tottenham and does not consider him “as an Arsenal player.”

“My next thought is about Ivan Toney,” he said to talkSPORT. We are aware that he will be moving, so I don’t need to worry about saying something disrespectful. We discussed Eberechi Eze and the Spurs, but also Ivan Toney. No, I don’t think he’ll play for Arsenal, and I don’t think he’ll get into the current top four.

“Toney is essentially the finished product, but Tottenham seems like the obvious choice for Ivan Toney.”

“I believe that if they’re looking for someone who can play every position on the field, score goals, lead the line brilliantly, and is the closest thing to a Harry Kane,”

After serving his 13-game suspension, Toney has scored four goals, and Frank has publicly stated that he anticipates his lucky striker to be on the move by the end of the current season.
Frank stated to Danish media in February that it was “quite evident” that Ivan Toney would most likely be sold this summer.

We are also aware of his value. I don’t believe there are many strikers in the world that can compete with him at this point. He is a very talented striker who is at the peak of his playing career.

As a coach, I would personally like to keep Toney, but it might be interesting to watch him play for a premier team in the future. We actually received no offers for him this winter, so I’ll be surprised if many clubs aren’t interested in him.
