Thierry Henry is furious after seeing what 25-year-old Arsenal player did vs Bayern Munich

After watching one Arsenal player’s performance against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last night, Thierry Henry has harshly criticized him.

Following a 2-2 draw in the first leg of the match last week, the Gunners headed to the Allianz Arena. Arsene Wenger even predicted that Mikel Arteta’s team would win the match, so they felt they could pull it off.

But Bayern prevailed thanks to a masterful header from Joshua Kimmich in the second half and some outstanding defending throughout.

Now that they have advanced to the Champions League semifinals, the German powerhouses will take on Real Madrid. Last night, the Galacticos eliminated Manchester City on penalties.

As he evaluated the match, Henry became very irate with one Arsenal player.

Takehiro Tomiyasu is chastised by Thierry Henry for his actions against Bayern Munich.

The first half saw Arsenal very much in the game.

At first, both teams played with a little caution, but the Gunners controlled the ball well and even gave Gabriel Martinelli a few opportunities.

The second half of the match saw Bayern Munich come out much stronger and put Arsenal under a lot of pressure. They even struck the woodwork twice in a brief period of time.

Following some lackluster Arsenal defense, Joshua Kimmich found the back of the net with a bullet header in the 63rd minute of play, and that was sufficient for the home team to win.

After the game, Jamie Carragher examined the goal and accused Martinelli of losing Kimmich inside the box by flipping off. The legendary player for Liverpool thought he was the cause of Arsenal’s defeat.

But Thierry Henry thought otherwise. The renowned Frenchman blamed Takehiro Tomiyasu, saying the 25-year-old should have been cutting the distance rather than focussing needlessly on an out-of-position Leroy Sane.

On CBS Sports, Henry, who appeared to be very irate, said, “Jamie, can I play devil’s advocate? You will see Martinelli defending on Leroy Sane if I am Tomiyasu’s winger in that situation. I’d like you to check out Tomiyasu’s work.

“Tomiyasu’s job is to defend, so you (Martinelli) are carrying out his duties to the fullest extent possible at this time. Stay with Tomiyasu, please.

“What action will Leroy Sane take there? He’s in your line of sight. He is unable to score! Shut the distance! He is unable to score! What action will he take? Not even one frame includes him.

“Jamie, I know I’m going far, but this is where he was (off the field). How is he going to score? And this is how Tomiyasu is (glancing at Sane). Shut the distance!

The game of another Arsenal player was shocking.

Even though Takehiro Tomiyasu contributed to Bayern Munich’s goal, the Japan international played well all around.

His performance last night was highly praised by many Arsenal supporters as well.

Arsenal’s loss yesterday was not due to Tomiyasu or the other defenders; rather, it was due to the actions—or lack thereof—of their attacking players, particularly Bukayo Saka.

The Englishman is among the top players for Arsenal. Despite his incredible talent, we think he will admit that last night’s game was the worst of his Gunners career.

Saka failed with his crosses and dribbles, and he registered zero shots on goal and created zero opportunities. Thirteen times he also lost possession of the ball.

Young Saka had an evening to forget, and Mikel Arteta will be hoping that he can recover when Wolves play on Saturday.
