‘Signed all documents’… Fabrizio Romano says Man City are now on the verge of signing 15-year-old wonderkid

According to reports, Manchester City appears poised to sign yet another up-and-coming talent.

It was reported last week that Luciano Rodriguez, a 20-year-old winger, was of “concrete and serious interest” to the City Football Group (CFG).

In a similar vein, it was also disclosed less than two weeks prior that City was nearing completion of an agreement for Cavan Sullivan, a 14-year-old midfield player.

Fabrizio Romano: Manchester City and Jayden Lienou are getting closer to a signing

As of right now, Manchester City has “signed all documents” to sign Jayden Lienou from Everton, according to Fabrizio Romano on X.

Romano declared with certainty that the Welshman would be joining the Sky Blues academy.

The Italian journalist continued by asserting that the treble-winners’ interest in the 15-year-old is a component of their plan to sign the best young prospects.

It’s interesting to note that Manchester City is getting closer to signing Jayden Lienou after defeating two other elite English teams.

In the future, Jayden Lienou might provide the club with a left-back solution.

Jayden Lienou could eventually solve the team’s left-back dilemma if a move to Manchester City is confirmed and he goes on to establish himself at the academy level.

That is, if City are unable to sign a top-tier left-back by the time the teenager is considered ready for playing in the first team.

Nevertheless, the Sky Blues have never been good at left-back, with Joao Cancelo—who was recently loaned out to Barcelona—possibly the only true world-class player the team has ever had.

Jayden Lienou could soon have the opportunity to play left-back for Manchester City if he continues to make an impression in the academy.

As things stand, signing another bright young player appears to be just another astute business decision made by City.
