Man City and Arsenal will go head-to-head in a huge match at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday and the Gunners have several injury worries heading into the clash.

A victory for Mikel Arteta’s team would not only keep them atop the table but also make a significant statement in an extremely close title race. The outcome of the game could have a significant impact on the Premier League title race.

The North London team defeated the Gunners 4-1 in this season’s rematch at the Emirates, ending the team’s hopes of winning the title. The North London club had won the rematch 1-0 at the venue back in October.

Arteta has multiple injury concerns going into Sunday’s game, and Charles Watts, an Arsenal journalist, has provided an update on key players ahead of this weekend’s pivotal match.

In the Man City match, Arsenal will make a “late call” regarding Bukayo Saka.

In his most recent Daily Briefing column, Watts exclusively spoke with CaughtOffside to provide an update on the health of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel.

“I do anticipate Bukayo Saka being well. The Gunners journalist stated, “I don’t think his withdrawal from the England squad is anything to be concerned about based on the conversations I’ve had.

I was informed that the problem was a “slight muscle injury,” but it is not considered to be serious. Saka will be given a late call by Arsenal, but for now, it is hoped that he will travel to Manchester.

Watts went on to say that Martinelli’s foot injury is much more concerning. He is a serious doubt because he was using crutches the night of the Porto match. If Martinelli is out, you would think Leandro Trossard would start, but Gabriel Jesus is a possibility on the left, especially since I believe Kai Havertz will continue to be the central striker.

Takehiro Tomiyasu ought to be on the team somewhere else, but Gabriel Magalhaes is in a comparable situation to Martinelli.

Arsenal is hoping he can recover from the injury that caused him to be left out of the Brazil squad, but it will be close to call. Although Jurrien Timber has been training hard for some time, I believe it is still too early for him to be considered for the match at the Etihad because he did not play in the QPR friendly.
