BREAKING NEWS: The boos from the crowd clearly affected Sterling, and his teammates' quick response to his post says it all.

Raheem Sterling promised to come back “even stronger” after taking a lot of abuse from Chelsea supporters during the FA Cup quarterfinal victory over Leicester City.

Chelsea defeated the leaders of the Championship 4-2 at Stamford Bridge earlier today to guarantee their spot at Wembley.

Marc Cucurella gave Chelsea the lead prior to Sterling’s comeback, but he later missed a penalty that was aimed weakly at Leicester goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk.

Just before halftime, Sterling atoned by helping Cole Palmer double Chelsea’s lead.

After the interval, though, Leicester rallied.

Stephy Mavididi’s incredible strike and Axel Disasi’s own goal leveled the score for Enzo Maresca’s team.

With 17 minutes remaining, Leicester was down to 10 men after Callum Doyle was sent off. That was the game-changing moment.

In injury time, goals from Noni Madueke and Carney Chukwuemeka guaranteed Chelsea a trip to Wembley and a place in the semi-finals.

After Mauricio Pochettino replaced Mykhailo Mudryk, Chelsea supporters chanted “you don’t know what you’re doing,” expressing their displeasure with the manager.

Fans also criticized Sterling for missing a spectacular free kick.

Pochettino promised to stand by Sterling in spite of the difficulties, and the player apologized on Instagram for missing the penalty and promised to come back stronger to help the team win.

Palmer, Madueke, and Ben Chilwell, among his teammates, offered their condolences and support, pointing out that errors are inevitable in football.
