BREAKING NEWS: "I Can't Stay On The Bench For A 19-Year-Old Kid If Manchester City Signs Jamal Musiala This Summer," the Man City star told the boss live from Fabrizio Romano, pledging to leave the team.

It is unlikely that a £50 million Chelsea player will be included in the expected announcement of the England squad later today. The England starting lineup that Gareth Southgate will unveil is expected to feature a number of Chelsea players.

Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher have been particularly impressive this season; Palmer scored in Chelsea’s most recent 3-2 victory over Newcastle United.

Raheem Sterling, though, is not expected to be included in England’s squad for the forthcoming games against Brazil and Belgium, according to reports from The Telegraph. Since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Sterling has not played for his country, and it appears that he might not play in the Euros either.

Journalist Simon Phillips has confirmed that Ben Chilwell, in addition to Sterling, will also be missing from Southgate’s squad because of an additional injury setback.

Because of his patchy performance this season, there have been rumors that Sterling won’t be playing for England. Sterling was benched for Chelsea’s first-round Premier League draw against Brentford in early March, despite having started and scored in that match against Manchester City. His final goal in the top division was scored in November, demonstrating his inconsistent play.

It would make sense for Southgate to leave Sterling out of England’s next fixtures in light of these considerations. To increase his chances of qualifying for the Euros and possibly securing his future at Chelsea, the winger will need to have a strong season finale.

Sterling, a former Manchester City player who signed with Chelsea in 2022 for a sizable sum, is anticipated to be traded this summer. If he leaves Stamford Bridge, Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao, who is rumored to be interested in moving to West London, might be the player Chelsea looks to replace him. With three goals and seven assists in 23 league games this season, Spain’s Williams has looked impressive.
