BREAKING NEWS: An unexpected Premier League club is about to appoint former FC Bayern München manager Julian Nagelsmann as their new manager.

In the midst of circulating speculation about Erik ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford, Manchester United may soon have to make a crucial managerial decision.

With just ten games left in the season, United is currently eight points out of a top-four spot in the league, which is undoubtedly a result of injuries.

There are rumors going around that Ten Hag’s job is currently being scrutinized more closely, especially in light of the new football hierarchy at the club.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos Group has been evaluating prospective managers aggressively, raising the prospect of a managerial change in the upcoming months.

Julian Nagelsmann, the former coach of Bayern Munich, who is currently preparing to lead Germany in the forthcoming 2024 European Championship, is reportedly one of the names being considered as a possible successor.

According to Sky Sport Germany, Nagelsmann plans to return to club management following the European Championship. Prior to the competition starting, he intends to publicly announce his next course of action.

Nagelsmann would be able to concentrate entirely on his responsibilities with the German national team throughout the competition thanks to this calculated timing.

On the other hand, Nagelsmann’s possible hiring might affect Manchester United’s and other interested teams’ preseason plans.

Even if they choose to replace Ten Hag at the end of the current campaign, United is reportedly considering his future in spite of this.

The erratic play of Manchester United following the takeover by the INEOS group has stoked rumors regarding a potential managerial switch.

But the club’s financial concerns might also play a role in Ten Hag’s future decision.

Ten Hag’s contract could be terminated for a significant sum of money—up to ten million pounds—so United might decide to keep him on while they work through their Financial Fair Play (FFP) obligations.

Due in part to their early departure from the 2023–24 Champions League, United recently revealed a significant 23% increase in their wage bill for the second quarter.
