The amount of minutes the loan player was receiving had Chelsea "unhappy," but they've made matters much worse.

We have previously discussed the absurd Cesare Casadei loan scenario in these pages.

In conclusion, Casadei was playing consistently for his temporary club, developing into the season, winning the manager’s confidence, and accruing more and more playing time as time went on, in contrast to the majority of our loaned out players this season.

Then, Chelsea unceremoniously called him back in January. Since then, they have spent a total of 17 minutes using him.

Although Mauricio Pochettino, the manager, stated that this was done to increase the depth of his midfield, you would think that a young player could have taken over for him given that he only plays five minutes every third game.

More perplexingly, according to Simon Johnson’s article in today’s Athletic, Chelsea sources have expressed dissatisfaction with the minutes he was obtaining for Leicester.

How can they feel about his 3 appearances and 17 minutes since January if they weren’t happy with his 25 appearances and 1111 minutes in the Championship?

There are only ten Premier League games remaining, and he is cup tied, so he is also ineligible to play in the FA Cup. If he keeps playing at this pace, the campaign will end in 17 minutes.

How in the world could we have purposefully blown up one of our few successful loans?
