Declan Rice: "Took it down my chin" regarding his favorite Arsenal moment

Declan Rice has stated that his goal against Manchester United stands out as his favorite Arsenal memory to date.”Since I’ve walked through the doors [at Arsenal] I’ve loved every single moment of it,” said the player.

“I thought I would just go there and be myself because it was such a big change—the environment, the way I lived, the manager, and the friends—during my ten years at West Ham.

“I’ve tried to be confident and give the team my all as the games and time have progressed. We’re doing great so far, and hopefully we can cap off the season nicely.

“Though there have been a lot of memorable moments thus far, I believe the goal against United was the best because of the importance of the game.

“I was happy with my first goal for Arsenal; five minutes earlier, Garnacho’s effort had been disqualified for offside. I took one off my chin and put it in the back of the net. The best moment thus far was that one.”

At the 2024 London Football Awards on Thursday, Rice received the Premier League Player of the Year award. The Englishman has made an immediate impact at Emirates Stadium, scoring four goals and dishing out six assists.
