BREAKING NEWS: Football analyst Fabrizio Romano reports that 🚨Chelsea is about to make a big decision, intending to bring head coach Thomas Tuchel back, completing a full circle comeback.

A return to Chelsea is reportedly something Thomas Tuchel is considering in light of Mauricio Pochettino’s uncertain future.

Chelsea is thinking of switching managers, possibly even firing Pochettino, in light of the criticism leveled at the manager.

There is a shortlist of possible substitutes that includes Sporting CP and Roberto De Zerbi.

Tuchel is eager to return, even though he wasn’t included on the shortlist when he left 18 months ago.

According to Footballwave, the former manager is keen to get back to Stamford Bridge.

After a dismal season, Tuchel is leaving Bayern Munich and is expected to look into other options in the summer.

Although Tuchel’s reputation has been somewhat damaged by his recent time at Bayern, his record at Chelsea is noteworthy.

He had an amazing 60% win rate from January 2022 to September 2022.

This is higher than the percentages of interim managers such as Pochettino (46%) and Graham Potter (39%).

As Chelsea’s full-time managers since 2011, only Maurizio Sarri (62%) and Antonio Conte (65%) have had greater win percentages.

Tuchel’s possible return is uncertain, though, considering his prior relationship with owner Todd Boehly.

Boehly’s choice to welcome Tuchel back to Chelsea might be influenced by his reputation as a bit of an aloof person.

Amidst conjecture surrounding management, Chelsea is purportedly contemplating a “fast fix” by reassigning Tuchel to the position of head coach.

The German manager is reportedly eager to take the position and offers a potential fix for the club’s present problems.

There is intrigue surrounding the possible reunion because the situation is unstable and it is unclear if Boehly would be amenable to Tuchel’s return.
