BREAKING NEWS: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a versatile winger for Napoli, is reportedly the target of Todd Boehly, who wants to bolster their attacking options.

According to reports, Napoli is willing to pay their desired player, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, twice as much as his current salary in an effort to keep him at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium despite Chelsea and other teams’ interest.

Kvaratskhelia, who signed a five-year contract with Napoli after leaving Dinamo Batumi last summer, has emerged as one of the Azzurri’s most impressive players.

Chelsea may be interested in adding more offensive options given their current offensive third woes, as they have only scored 29 goals in 27 Premier League games this season.

Todd Boehly’s recent spending binge at Chelsea, which has brought the team close to £550 million, may make it easier for Kvaratskhelia to transfer to Stamford Bridge.

It is currently predicted that Napoli will win Serie A this year, and Kvaratskhelia is worth approximately €100 million (£88 million).

With 23 Serie A games under his belt, the Georgian international has amassed an outstanding record of 12 goals and 10 assists, good for an astounding 7.64 rating on WhoScored.

He has a total of 14 goals and 16 assists across all competitions.

Kvaratskhelia has more stats than any other player in Chelsea’s current roster.

Specifically, he outperforms every Chelsea player who has participated in more than ten Premier League games this season with an average of 2.9 shots, 1.7 crucial passes, and 1.8 dribbles per game.

Within a month of Kvaratskhelia’s Napoli debut, journalist Mina Rzouki expressed admiration for him, calling him a phenomenon.

Early praise for his dynamic play style and impact on the field indicated that he could be a valuable asset for Napoli.

Kvaratskhelia and former Chelsea player Eden Hazard have been compared, and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has praised the Georgian winger’s skill.

Henry praised Kvaratskhelia’s ability to press, dribble, and assist while pointing out similarities between him and Hazard. He also highlighted traits like balance, calmness, and vision.

Eden Hazard had great success in England before leaving Chelsea in 2019 to join Real Madrid.

But Hazard’s contributions have been difficult for Chelsea to replace, with wingers like Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech falling short in his absence.

Chelsea may find a solution in Kvaratskhelia, who has a skill set similar to that of Hazard in his prime.

His adaptability in dribbling, pressing, and creating opportunities is in line with what Mauricio Pochettino needs to develop a title-contending squad.

Chelsea’s pursuit of the Georgian winger Kvaratskhelia may be a calculated move to improve their attacking capabilities and solve enduring issues in the post-Hazard era, while Napoli aims to hold onto the player.

Kvaratskhelia’s future continues to be a key concern in the shifting dynamics of European football transfers due to the possibility of doubling his salary.
