Following Pochettino's encouragement to look for a new club during the upcoming transfer window, a Chelsea player who turned down Arsenal's offer last summer is now pleading for another chance to play under Arteta.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal was on the verge of signing Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk before he joined the club in 2023.

With a hefty £88.5 million fee, Chelsea managed to secure Mudryk despite advanced talks with Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 23-year-old, who has only scored four goals in 42 games, has had difficulty adjusting to English football.

Fichajes claims that Chelsea’s willingness to let go of Mudryk has piqued Arsenal’s interest once more, with Juventus also being considered. Chelsea is in a difficult situation because of Mudryk’s declining value, which is currently £34 million. They could lose a lot of money on their investment.

Chelsea is in a unique position as they manage the difficulties of player transfers and budgetary constraints. If Arsenal were to go after Mudryk, it would be a change from their usual transfer approach.

Arsenal is looking for reinforcements, especially in wide areas, but there are risks involved when spending a lot of money on a player who has struggled at a rival team, which worries both fans and analysts.

Furthermore, Arsenal needs to add more players to their roster.

With players like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka already on the team, Mikel Arteta wants to add depth and cover at several positions to help with rotation throughout the season.
