When Real Betis and Athletic Bilbao played their home La Liga match, there was a shocking collision that left assistant referee Guadalupe Porras covered in blood.
After confirming Chimy Avila’s goal in the 13th minute of play, the official was making her way back to her post.

When Betis’ staff hurried to help Porras, it was first unclear what had happened. She was put on a stretcher and taken to an ambulance.
Relevo reports that when the collision happened, a close-up 4K camera operator from DAZN was recording the celebrations of Avila’s opener.
After a long wait, Porras had to be replaced on the sidelines by Holgueras Castellanos, the fourth official.
When the game eventually resumed, Benito Villamarin cheered the lineswoman off because she was getting better.
Former long-serving LaLiga referee Eduardo Iturralde Gonzalez said on Cadena SER: “A message to LaLiga President Javier Tebas: the camera goes where it shouldn’t go.
“Please let them work, the assistant referee is as professional as a player.”
But again in the thirty-first minute, Betis’ medical staff had to step in.
