SHOCKING: Despite playing an 8/10 against Burnley over the weekend, Mikel Arteta has chosen to take a huge gamble by benching the 6’4″ Arsenal star for tonight’s UCL match.

It appears that Arsenal is reaching its zenith during this season.

Since January 20th, Mikel Arteta’s team has won five straight games, winning the last two by a combined score of 11-0.

When June 1st rolls around, the Gunners appear to be a serious contender and a team that can win the Champions League trophy.

To get there, though, they’ll have to overcome some formidable opponents, FC Porto being the first.

Even though the North Londoners have been playing brilliantly in the last two games, Arteta should make one change to his starting lineup, with Kai Havertz sitting out the first leg due to the tougher opposition, his record in Europe, and the fact that the match is away.

To be clear, Havertz’s performance was not the reason for this lineup change; rather, the opposition and the occasion were taken into consideration.

Like the rest of the team, the German was outstanding on Saturday against Burnley, contributing to the action all over the field and scoring a fantastic goal himself.
