He is a good finisher, and I’m wondering why Arsenal didn’t finalize his deal in January. Pep Guardiola enthused about the £70 million striker Arsenal wanted to sign.

Ivan Toney has been linked to Arsenal for some time now, and Pep Guardiola has recently lauded the player.

Similar to numerous other teams, the Gunners did not make any signings in the January transfer window. They couldn’t because of FFP restrictions, but they want to spend a lot of money this summer on a striker. Then, Toney will probably be Arsenal’s primary aim.

Pep Guardiola lauded Ivan Toney, an Arsenal target.

Since his return from his football ban last month, Ivan Toney has performed admirably for Brentford in the Premier League.

The Englishman scored twice in his return, once against Tottenham Hotspur and once against Nottingham Forest.

Toney would kill to score three goals in a row, but Manchester City, the greatest club in the world, will face his team next.

This is not to argue that Toney is incapable of scoring against the Cityzens; on the contrary, Pep Guardiola is well aware of the striker’s abilities.

“He’s an exceptional player, not just with long balls, but also with keeping the ball, set pieces, penalties, free kicks, and many other things… they can link with him,” Guardiola said of Toney during a news conference today, according to HaytersTV.

He’s a really good player. I’m happy he’s back, and I hope that time in his life, with his family, is forgotten.
