Reliable transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano has some information about Arsenal’s 2024 transfer plans, saying that it’s just a “matter of time” until they close a deal to get manager Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal aims to bolster key areas of their roster.

Because of their restricted January budget and the additional pressure of adhering to Financial Fair Play rules, the Gunners have been among the teams with the fewest transactions during the transfer window.

Despite rumors that Arteta is interested in acquiring Miguel Delaney as a new full-back, midfielder, and striker, their lavish summer investment has put them in a little more vulnerable position this year.

Regardless, Arsenal has been linked to a number of elite players. Earlier this month, reports surfaced indicating that negotiations were made over a deal for Everton’s Amadou Onana.

They seem to be considering Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri as a potential new full-back. In fact, according to Football Transfers, Arsenal’s bid for Ait-Nouri was turned down because Arteta wants to completely revamp his alternatives at fullback.

The Gunners are reportedly searching for a striker with experience, so there’s the small matter of a striker. Arsenal have been having trouble turning chances into goals until their 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, when they looked rejuvenated. This has been a big worry for the north London team as they look to capture their first league title in 20 years.

Club veteran Ray Parlour urged the squad to sign a striker in particular in a recent exclusive interview with FFC.
