“He’s just an overhyped player, nothing really special about him, i don’t rate him much”- Chelsea great Didier Drogba says the 22-year-old Arsenal star is nothing remarkable.

The legendary Chelsea player Didier Drogba recently made some unexpected remarks about William Saliba, an Arsenal defender.

Saliba is currently thought to be one of Arsenal’s most vital players, and from the start of the last campaign, he has given excellent performances.

Drogba, though, is not persuaded.

In an exclusive interview, the former Ivorian international told “Get French Football News” that Saliba wasn’t particularly good.

“Then there is the one at Arsenal too [Saliba] – he hasn’t had the game time to adjust to that essential association yet,” the speaker stated.

Although Saliba wasn’t doing anything particularly special for Arsenal, Drogba thought he was performing well.

“Therefore, he has to get used to those associations before he can absorb the international level.”

As things stand, I’m not sure how to help him work with [Dayot] Upamecano or [Ibrahima] Konate so that he can reach his full potential.

Desailly believes that Saliba still needs to get better at Arsenal before he can play in France.

Naturally, it’s important to keep in mind that Saliba hasn’t been as imposing for his nation as he has been for his club in order to put these remarks into perspective.

Along with Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka, the defender is currently regarded as one of Arsenal’s best.

And although Desailly has doubts about Saliba, Arsenal does not feel the same way.

One player who keeps getting criticism is Kai Havertz.

Havertz has once again drawn a lot of criticism, even in light of Arsenal’s dismal overall performance last night.
