Arsenal has been in contact with several potential new recruits this month.

Numerous forwards, as well as midfielders, have been linked to the north London club, Arsenal.

Fabrizio Romano, though, claims that Arsenal will soon be looking to fill another significant position.

Romano did, in fact, state on The Debrief that he thinks Arsenal will make an attempt to sign a new full-back this month.

Arsenal is trying to find a new center back.

Romano disclosed that he was aware of the Gunners’ plans.

“They haven’t found a good or standard option yet; all of the players they like, like Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney, are either very expensive or not available on the market.” Romano predicted that they would search for a striker and a full-back.

Do they require one?

Arsenal have had full-back issues as of late due to Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jurrien Timber’s injuries, but we can’t buy into the idea that they need to sign someone new this month.

Although it’s not ideal, it won’t be long until Zinchenko and Timber are both healthy and productive again, so at this point, it doesn’t seem like a big deal to sign a new player.

Arsenal will quickly have their first-choice options back if they exercise patience as opposed to wasting money on a stopgap who may or may not be effective for a few weeks.

It’s encouraging to hear that Arsenal is looking for new possibilities, but the notion that a new full-back should be the Gunners’ top priority this month just doesn’t sit right with us.

Although Arsenal does need new players, we don’t think a new full-back should be their top priority.
