“We’re prepared to sell to Arsenal,” the club president said, enabling the midfield player to finalize his January transfer to the Emirates.
Arsenal is reportedly interested in acquiring Pablo Maia, a midfielder for Sao Paulo, during the upcoming January transfer window, per a report from Gazeta Esportiva. The Brazilian team, though, doesn’t appear eager to let him go unless a strong offer is presented.
Sao Paulo is financially secure, having just sold Lucas Beraldo to Paris Saint-Germain for €20 million and obtained stadium naming rights. As such, they might be reluctant to let go of Maia until Arsenal makes a sizable offer. According to the report, Sao Paulo would only consider selling their valuable asset to the North London club if they received a “very good offer.”
