BREAKING NEWS: “He’s just an overhyped player, nothing really special about him, i don’t rate him much”- Didier Drogba, a Chelsea legend, claims that despite his impressive stats this season, Arsenal’s 22-year-old star is nothing special.

Didier Drogba, a Chelsea legend, has recently made some unexpected remarks regarding the caliber of William Saliba, an Arsenal defender.

Saliba has put up impressive performances since the beginning of the previous campaign and is now thought to be one of Arsenal’s most important players.

Drogba, though, appears unconvinced.

In an exclusive interview with “Get French Football News,” the former Ivorian international claimed that Saliba was just mediocre.

“There is also Salaba at Arsenal; he hasn’t had enough game time to adjust to that necessary association,” he stated.

“I don’t think any of his personal attributes are particularly exceptional.

“He’s not extraordinary, but he’s at an extremely high level.”

Although Saliba wasn’t particularly good for Arsenal, Drogba believed he was playing at a high level.

Therefore, he must become accustomed to those associations before absorbing the global level.

“As things are, I’m not sure how to connect him with Dayot Umecano or Ibrahim Konate so that he can flourish and develop all of his potential.”

Desailly believes that Saliba still needs to get better at Arsenal before he can play in France.

Naturally, it’s important to keep in mind that Saliba hasn’t been as influential for his country as he has been for his club in order to put these remarks into perspective.

Some of the defender’s France displays have drawn criticism, despite the fact that he has been perfect for Arsenal.

Additionally, Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate have done better so far for their nation.
That doesn’t mean, though, that these remarks won’t come as a surprise.

Saliba is enjoying yet another fantastic season with The Gunners, and his absence against West Ham United last night was much felt.

Now regarded as one of Arsenal’s best, the defender is up there with Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka.

And while Desailly isn’t entirely sold on Saliba, those uncertainties aren’t present at Arsenal.

Kai Havertz is one player who continues to face criticism.

Despite Arsenal’s overall poor performance last night, Havertz has once again been the player who bears the brunt of the criticism.
