Arsenal player ratings vs Burnley as Trossard and Saliba star while Vieira is sent

Ultimately, the Gunners won with great ease. Arteta’s team took advantage of Burnley’s weakness three times: crossing into the area.

They move up to the top of the table, level on points with Manchester City, and surpass their north London rivals Spurs, who suffered a setback earlier in the day.

It was an incredible day for the Gunners, who will head into the international break on a high despite Vieira’s needless red card.

PLAYER RATINGS

David Raya:

One of his best games wearing an Arsenal shirt so far; he made some great saves but wasn’t given much of a distribution task. Gudmundsson’s goal in the first half was excellent. 6.

Takehiro Tomiyasu:

The Japan international was largely outstanding when he was moved to the right flank. Though he could have been more forceful for Burnley’s goal, he was usually a good defender and contributed significantly with his delivery and link-up play in the last third. 6.

William Saliba:

A dynamic addition to the field on both ends. After a superb defensive tackle kept Koleosho from scoring, a header fell in the right spot. 8.

Gabriel:

Set pieces are a significant threat throughout the entire game. The Brazilian showed incredible intensity to help break the deadlock when Arsenal was down to 10, and then excellent concentration to defend the six-yard box. 6.

Oleksandr Zinchenko:

Bukayo Saka was able to get space in the first half thanks to an incredible flip. His third goal for Arsenal was scored with equally superb technique. 8.

Jorginho:

He maintained the flow of the game at the base of the Arsenal midfield. With a few strong victories in one-on-one matches at the halfway line, the Gunners maintained the pressure. 6.

Declan Rice:

It was a great long-range effort that came close to scoring. I won the ball high and consistently, as usual. The England international is excellent, and that much is obvious. 6.

Kai Havertz:

The German contributed significantly to Arsenal’s strong forward play, but he still needs to find the final touch. A terrible miss on a clear header at a corner, too. 6.

Bukayo Saka:

He was Arsenal’s most dangerous player in the first half, giving Leandro Trossard another assist. Despite being a little quieter in the second half, the performance was still excellent. 6.

Leandro Trossard:

He seems to bring out the best in people around him when he plays up top. Martinelli is more relaxed, and he has a great relationship with Saka. Today offers yet another objective and help. 8.

Gabriel Martinelli:

Martinelli gave a legendary performance. Played a fun down the left wing, beating his fullback, only to miss with his final ball. But such a threat to the other defenses. 6.

SUBSTITUTES –

Fabio Vieira:

Upon taking over for Kai Havertz, he didn’t offer much. Then, just when they might have had an easy finish, a terrible challenge put his team under pressure. 5.

Reiss Nelson: NA
Eddie Nketiah: NA
