‘EXCITING NEWS’ “He will play against Sevilla even if he is given painkillers………..,” – Arteta set to put players’ fitness at risk amidst aim for quick Champions League qualification

Takehiro Tomiyasu, who has been out nearly the entire season due to injury, has stated that he is back to his best self for Arsenal.

During Mikel Arteta and Arsenal’s pre-match press conference before their match against Sevilla, Tomiyasu was questioned about his injury status.

The Japan international claimed that the previous season was the hardest of his career due to his injury problems.

Naturally, Tomiyasu underwent knee surgery following an injury he sustained during Arsenal’s pivotal final stretch.

Tomiyasu declared, “I’m feeling very well,” to football.london. I’ve had injuries a lot, especially this past season. The previous season was the hardest of my professional life.

Additionally, Mikel Arteta will be relieved to see Tomiyasu back in his injury-free Arsenal lineup.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been replaced by Tomiyasu as the inverted full-back on the left.

Even though he is not as skilled with the ball as the Ukrainian, he is emerging as a more dependable defensive player.

Following a protracted knee injury, Tomiyasu is fully recovered for Arsenal.
Arsenal has reaped significant benefits from Tomiyasu’s versatility since he signed for £16 million a year ago.

Furthermore, Arteta has to think that the 25-year-old Japanese defender is still capable of making a big impact.

Zinchenko may be better suited for a midfield role now that Tomiyasu is starting at left back.

The problem for Arsenal is that none of their available candidates have been able to lock down the number eight spot.

And with Zinchenko’s skill set, Arteta might be able to reclaim some much-needed originality.

With all of the options that Tomiyasu now offers, Arsenal and Arteta will benefit greatly from his full recovery from injury.

Tomiyasu might be playing the part that Jurrien Timber was supposed to play before suffering his tragic injury.

Furthermore, it should not be underlined how much Arsenal misses Timber despite his recent arrival.

It’s great news that Amario Cozier-Duberry is back in training with the senior team before tonight’s game.
He might also be aiming for a coveted spot on Mikel Arteta’s bench given the number of absentees.
