The injury list for Arsenal is getting longer, and manager Mikel Arteta has to deal with players like Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus, and Jurrien Timber.

On Saturday night, Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta was unable to start club captain Martin Odegaard against Newcastle United. After just ten minutes of play at the London Stadium, Arsenal was eliminated from the Carabao Cup by West Ham United, thanks to a late consolation goal from Odegaard.

The 24-year-old was assessed prior to the Magpies match, according to Arsenal Trends, but was not allowed to play despite the fact that his injury was not serious. He may play again against Sevilla the following week. The Norway international isn’t, though.

Manager of Arsenal Mikel Arteta has injured lists with Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe, and Jurrien Timber among the players.

Martin Odegaard

The captain of Arsenal, Martin Odegaard, was unable to start against Newcastle United on Saturday night, according to manager Mikel Arteta. After just ten minutes of play at the London Stadium last week, Arsenal was eliminated from the Carabao Cup by West Ham United thanks to a late consolation goal from Odegaard.

The 24-year-old may play against Sevilla next week, but despite having a minor injury, he was checked out prior to the Magpies game, according to Arsenal Trends. Conversely, the Norway international is not.

Injury: Hip

Expected return date: Sevilla (H) – Wednesday, November 8

Emile Smith Rowe

Due to a knee injury, Emile Smith Rowe was left out of the matchday squad for Wednesday’s trip to the London Stadium. In a major blow to Mikel Arteta and his teammates, it is unclear how long he will be out, though the manager said it would only be a few weeks.

Injury: Knee

Expected return date: N/A

Arteta said, “We have a problem with him.” After the game, he felt something in his knee and started to feel uncomfortable. We’re checking him out, but he has serious concerns. He will be out of town for a few weeks.

Thomas Partey

A few weeks ago, Partey suffered a thigh injury during training, per Arsenal Trends. The team released a statement saying, “Thomas Partey will miss tonight’s game due to a muscle issue.” Arteta subsequently disclosed that the midfield player’s injury will keep him out of action for a few weeks.

Injury: Thigh

Expected return date: N/A

Arteta stated, “We anticipate him to be out for a few weeks due to a muscle injury.” His level of severity is still unknown; he will be undergoing more testing today. It was the last ball kick of practice that caused him to get hurt. That is really awful. Tuesday is his next check-up, and we’ll see what transpires after that.

Gabriel Jesus.

In the Champions League match against Sevilla, Gabriel Jesus was outstanding, both scoring and providing an assist. However, when he pulled up holding his hamstring late in the game, there was worry about a potential injury. When there were ten minutes remaining in the game, he finally hobbled off for Eddie Nketiah. The extent of the issue is unknown.

After a hamstring scan on Jesus, Arteta verified that the forward would be sidelined for a few weeks. It’s possible that he will return in December, but it’s unclear if he’ll do so before or after the international break.

Injury: Hamstring

Expected return date: N/A

Arteta said, “The scans indicate that there is a muscle injury.” We might once more miss him for a few weeks. I tried it once and did it all wrong, so I’m not going to put any (time frame) with him. He is pushing everyone because he wants to return as soon as possible and we need him, so that is great, but we still need to exercise caution and treat him right.

Jurrien Timber

The Dutch international had a successful operation, and according to Arsenal Trends, he is currently in the “recovery phase” of his recuperation. Earlier in the season, he attended the match against Manchester United.

After the game, Timber was still in need of two crutches to get around, according to Arsenal Trends. His response to being asked how his rehabilitation was going was a quick “good, good.” His absence will be felt greatly, especially since the team failed to find a worthy replacement in the summer transfer window.
