Didier Drogba, the legendary player for Chelsea, says there is nothing special about Arsenal’s 22-year-old sensation. “He’s just an overhyped player, nothing really special about him, i don’t rate him much.”

Chelsea player Didier Drogba recently made some unexpected comments about William Saliba, an Arsenal defender.

Saliba is thought to be among Arsenal’s most crucial players at the moment due to his stellar play since the beginning of the previous campaign.

Conversely, Drogba is just not persuaded.

In an exclusive interview with “Get French Football News,” the former Ivorian international claimed that Saliba was only average.

“And there’s the one at Arsenal [Saliba]; he hasn’t had enough playing time to get used to that essential association,” he continued.

“I don’t believe he has any exceptional personal traits.”

“He’s excellent, but not outstanding.”

Drogba thought Saliba was doing okay for Arsenal, nothing special.

“Therefore, he has to get used to those associations before he can absorb the international level.”

As things stand, I’m not sure how to help him work with [Dayot] Upamecano or [Ibrahima] Konate so that he can reach his full potential.

Before leaving for France, Desailly thinks Saliba still needs to get better at Arsenal.

Remember that Saliba hasn’t been as imposing for his nation as he has been for his club in order to put these comments into perspective.

The Arsenal defender has performed flawlessly, but there have been some criticisms of his France performances.

Furthermore, Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate have performed better for their nation thus far.

That being said, these comments won’t be shocking to anyone.

Saliba, who is enjoying yet another incredible season for Arsenal, was much missed last night when he was rested against West Ham United.

These days, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka are considered Arsenal’s best defenders.

Desailly isn’t entirely confident in Saliba, but at Arsenal, those doubts are unfounded.

One player who is still receiving criticism is Kai Havertz.

Havertz has gotten a lot of the blame despite Arsenal’s poor showing last night as a whole.
