Both players are ready to swap clubs- Mikel Arteta is more than ‘excited’ to welcome his new striker

BREAKING: Dusan Vlahovic is a strong striker for Juventus, and the Italian club has expressed interest in trading for one of Mikel Arteta’s players in return for him. Both players are open to changing teams, and Mikel Arteta is more than ‘happy’ to have his new striker join the team.

Juventus is thinking about trading with Arsenal for Dusan Vlahovic.

According to rumors, Juventus is willing to approve the move of Dusan Vlahovic to Chelsea or Arsenal in 2024.

Following Vlahovic’s success while wearing a Fiorentina jersey in January 2022, the Old Lady competed against Arsenal for the Serbian’s services.

Ultimately, the 23-year-old declined an offer from Arsenal to join Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus, but he hasn’t yet been able to maintain the form that made Juve pay €81.6 million (£71.1 million) for his services.
Since joining the Bianconeri, Vlahovic has scored 27 goals and made seven assists in 69 games for Juventus, including four goals in his first four Serie A games of the 2023–24 season.

He did not score against Sassuolo or Lecce last month, though, and a back issue has kept him out of Juve’s last two league games against Atalanta BC and Torino.

Vlahovic still has many people talking about him moving to the Premier League despite being under contract in Turin until 2026 and anticipated to have that deal extended despite his issues in black and white.

However, according to a TuttoJuve report that was relayed by, Juventus would be open to letting Vlahovic go in 2024 in exchange for one or more players in a part-exchange deal.

Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be the two front-runners for Vlahovic’s services, with Real Madrid—which has yet to find a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema—also showing interest.

Chelsea made a bid for Vlahovic’s services over the summer, according to Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntioli, but the Blues were unable to match their demand, which is estimated to be in the neighborhood of €80 million (£69.7 million).

Romelu Lukaku was also mentioned in player-plus-cash talks, but neither deal materialized, and the Belgian eventually joined Roma on a season-long loan.

After Kai Havertz left for Arsenal, Chelsea signed Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson in the summer. However, the former is yet to make his competitive debut due to a serious knee injury.

Jackson, meanwhile, has been guilty of blowing several excellent chances in the early going of the season, and it’s no secret that Mauricio Pochettino wants to bolster his striker lineup.

Havertz has been converted to a midfielder for Arsenal despite primarily playing up front for Chelsea, where Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are vying for the starting position.
Nketiah has yet to score more than five Premier League goals in a single season, whereas Jesus has been troubled by injuries and has been shifted to the wide position to fill in for the injured Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

Ivan Toney of Brentford, who is set to return from a lengthy betting suspension in January, is understood to be Arsenal’s priority target rather than Vlahovic.
