ARSENAL CONFIRM CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR IN-DEMAND 28YO

Katie McCabe of Arsenal has re-signed with the team, turning down offers from many of Europe’s top teams.

The extension of Katie McCabe’s contract, which was set to expire in the summer of 2019, was announced by Arsenal on Friday morning.

According to David Ornstein, Manchester City and Bayern Munich were interested in acquiring the left-back, while Arsenal turned down a substantial offer from Chelsea in January.

If McCabe had been available, Chelsea would have still been interested, but Arsenal has taken action to make sure that is not the case.

I consider Arsenal to be my home, and I’m thrilled to have pledged my future to this soccer team, McCabe added.

“I’ve built a really special link with our supporters here, which means a lot to me, and I’ve grown up here as a player and a person.

I’ve had some incredible experiences here over the years, but I think the best is yet to come, and I know that Arsenal’s goal is to fight for the top awards.

Jonas Eidevall continued, “Katie McCabe brings us so much, both on and off the field.

“As a result, we are happy to announce that she has renewed her contract with us.

“Her quality and character are essential to what we do here,” said one of the finest players in the world of football in recent years. We were incredibly happy of how she responded to the call to serve as captain last season, and I’m eager to see what we can accomplish together going forward.
