Martin Odegaard praises Aaron Ramsdale for his attitude after being dropped

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has praised the conduct of Aaron Ramsdale despite being dropped for David Raya.

On Sunday, David Raya made his Premier League debut for the Gunners after Mikel Arteta initially started the summer acquisition instead of Aaron Ramsdale at Goodison Park.

Aaron Ramsdale, despite being benched on Sunday, received praise from Martin Odegaard for his demeanor. The Arsenal goalkeeper is anticipated to rejoin the club for the Gunners’ Champions League match against PSV on Wednesday night.

The last time Arsenal played in the Champions League was during the 2016–17 campaign. This week, they will play in the premier competition for the first time in seven years after finally winning at Goodison Park.

Leandro Trossard’s second-half goal gave the Gunners a slim win over Everton, but the final score didn’t accurately reflect the game. Mikel Arteta’s team, who had four victories and a tie in their first five Premier League games, put on a really commanding performance.

On his Arsenal debut at Goodison Park, David Raya kept a crucial clean sheet despite facing little opposition throughout the entire 90 minutes.

Despite spending most of the game on the Arsenal bench, Martin Odegaard, the team captain, made sure to compliment Aaron Ramsdale.

On Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard said, “I assume he will just keep working hard, like he usually does. He was there today to support us, encourage us, and assist us.

“He is a wonderful person, and today he responded extremely well by supporting the squad. He did a wonderful job.

“We have a strong competition and two talented goalkeepers. They each possess unique qualities. They both play the ball and play goal so well. We’re fortunate to have two such skilled goalkeepers, and we’ll see who starts.

Aaron Ramsdale received support from Theo Walcott and Ian Wright in addition to Martin Odegaard, who was not the only one to do so. Ian Wright anticipates being reinserted into the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game against PSV Eindhoven.
