Zinchenko scores against England in international play.

Oleksandr Zinchenko scored the opening goal of the game as Ukraine drew 1-1 with England in Euro 2024 qualifying round on Saturday.

Running onto the ball and scoring from the centre of the penalty area, Oleksandr found the back of the net with Ukraine’s sole shot on target to earn a point for his side, who were eventually pegged back by Kyle Walker’s goal.

In a match in which fellow Gunners Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka played 90 and 86 minutes, respectively, for the Three Lions, they managed to hold on to earn a point in Poland. However, Eddie Nketiah is still awaiting his debut for England, which might occur on Tuesday against Scotland.

With 13 points, England is still in first place in Group C. Ukraine is in second place with 7 points.

Takehiro Tomiyasu completed the entire game for Japan, which defeated Germany 4-1 in an international friendly on Saturday. Kai Havertz played 73 minutes for the hosts, who lost four of their previous five games and had Hansi Flick fired as their head coach following the encounter.

Leandro Trossard played 79 minutes in Belgium’s 1-0 qualifying victory away to Azerbaijan on Saturday, helping his country stay atop Group F with the same number of points as Austria but a superior goal differential.
