Man City pessimistic over keeping key star and will now accept bid between £45m-£50m

Man City’s Bernardo Silva is the subject of interest for several clubs ahead of the new season and the Champions League winners are said to be growing pessimistic about keeping their key star.

Silva has two years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, but during the past two summers, rumors of a transfer away from the club have circulated.

Longtime admirers of the player include Barcelona and PSG, but in recent weeks, Saudi Arabian clubs have been attempting to lure Silva away from Man City. The Middle East or Paris appear to be the 28-year-old’s likely destinations if he decides to quit Manchester United, and according to Football Insider, the Premier League winner is willing to take £45 million to $50 million for the Portuguese star.

Since joining Man City six years ago, Silva has developed into one of Pep Guardiola’s most crucial players. The midfielder appears to be tempted by a fresh challenge despite having achieved everything with the Manchester club.

Time will tell if Silva leaves the Etihad, and if he does, Guardiola will suffer a major setback as the new campaign gets underway, especially with Ilkay Gundogan also quitting his squad. However, Guardiola is more than capable of finding replacements for both players.
