Manchester City star who would go to Barcelona and it is not Bernardo

Fabrizio Romano and media connected to the Culé team have reported that Iikay Gundogan will be FC Barcelona’s new player for the upcoming season.

After winning everything with Manchester City, the team’s captain ultimately made the decision not to extend his deal with Pep Guardiola’s squad and is now on his way to Spain for a new chapter in his career.

The possibility of players leaving during the current transfer window was known to Pep Guardiola.

The club does not, however, want to lose all of its essential players beyond Gundogan.

It is therefore unexpected to see the player who might depart and join the German in Xavi Hernandez’s team in light of Bernardo Silva’s worry.

Joao Cancelo would be a perfect fit for Barça’s summer wishlist if he were included. The Blaugrana club is the team most interested in the player, and the city is seeking for a spot for the winger because of his rocky relationship with Pep Guardiola.

Cancelo was previously a target for the Blaugrana club in January, but Bayern made a better offer, leading to the player’s loan to Munich.

Cancelo will return to England without being able to continue playing for Manchester City since the German club will not exercise the option to purchase him. Barca feels it has what it takes to sign him.
