Lionel Messi to announce incredible £2bn next career move

REVEALED: Lionel Messi’s mammoth £2billion deal with Al-Hilal ‘will be announced on TUESDAY’, claim reports in Spain, as Saudi Arabia close in on another marquee signing with the Argentine to leave PSG this week By Charlotte Daly For

Following Paris Saint-Germain’s confirmation of his departure from the Ligue 1 club, Lionel Messi is allegedly expected to announce his signing with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hillal on Tuesday, June 6.

Messi will leave Ligue 1 champion PSG at the end of the current campaign, with this afternoon’s game against Clermont Foot serving as his farewell appearance at the Parc des Princes.

The World Cup champion will leave PSG this summer, PSG boss Christophe Galtier announced in a press conference on Thursday afternnon. Saudi Arabia was mentioned as one possible destination.

Messi’s final match for PSG will be Clermont Foot, according to Galtier. “I had the honor of coaching the greatest football player in history.” Leo’s final game at the Parc des Princes will take place there.

Messi joined PSG in 2021 following a financial dispute with Barcelona. Since then, he has won two Ligue 1 championships, but the Parisians have not advanced any closer to capturing the Champions League championship they so much want.

The 35-year-old made the suggestion that leaving Barcelona helped him develop as a player, and some people think that He was able to acquire the leadership skills he exhibited in winning the Qatar World Cup in December by stepping outside of his comfort zone.

Messi was rumored to be making a stunning comeback to Barcelona. He’s been connected to a move to Inter Miami as well. Al-Hillal, a Saudi Arabian team, are optimistic they can sign the 35-year-old.

Messi is reportedly open to changing teams since Al-Hillal is willing to pay him €400 million (£345 million) year to play for their team. Additionally, Messi already supports Saudi Arabia as he was appointed as the country’s travel ambassador in May 2022, receiving £25 million year.

Messi would compete against Ronaldo, his longtime nemesis and former Manchester United attacker, if he moved to Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo presently plays for Al-Nassr.

But Antonela Roccuzzo, who wed the Argentine footballing great in 2017 and has three kids with him, might stand in the way of her spouse moving to the Saudi capital.

The couple’s three young kids, Thiago, 10, Mateo, 7, and Ciro, 5, are believed to be reluctant to go to the Middle East, according to a previous L’Equipe report. She says she ‘can’t see’ having a family there.

They were childhood sweethearts and remained together throughout Messi’s stellar career. Antonela and her World Cup-winning husband were married six years ago, although they had been together since they were young.

Messi, who is 35 years old and approaching the end of his career, is likely to let whatever worries Antonela has influence any transfer decisions he makes.

Al-Hillal’s close associates insist that the Argentinean will join the Saudi Arabian team on Tuesday, June 6.
